- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup flour
- 2 heaped tablespoons golden syrup
- 125 grams butter
- 2 tablespoons boiling hot water
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
Add together sugar, rolled oats and flour and mix well through. Heat together butter and golden syrup. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Then add baking soda mix to butter and golden syrup. This will cause the mixture to foam. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients until well combined. Roll into balls and press down with a fork on a well greased cookie tray. Cook at 160 degrees celsius for 18-20 minutes until golden brown. Leave to cool before removing from the tray.
